JENN + ADAM’S SONORAN DESERT ADVENTURE SESSION | SAGUARO NATIONAL PARK ADVENTURE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER | TUCSON, ARIZONA

Having both grown up in the Midwest where temperatures under freezing for at least half the year were completely normal, Jenn and Adam were completely giddy to move to the Arizona desert for work. Having family in the area only made the move that much better! They quickly fell in love with the saguaro spotted landscape they now call home and the fact that hiking, climbing, exploring, and more could be done ALL year.

Not knowing when or where the call to move for work would come again these two fully embraced their Southern Arizona home.  And to celebrate their sweet time in the desert, we journeyed into Saguaro National Park just outside of Tucson to take in the cacti wilderness and hopefully a famous Arizona sunset on their adventure session. Hiking in along the road we experienced some of the most epic golden-hour light I have ever seen and, if the smiles are any indication, these two were absolutely digging it! We all raced and laughed along the trails dodging the jumping cholla (seriously don’t mess with those beasts, haha) until we found this massive outcropping of boulders. They wasted little time in bouldering up, fancy clothes and sandals and all, to soak in what turned out to be a breathtaking sunset.

Adventure sessions are some of my favorite to shoot!  They are perfect for those ‘just because’ times, for example celebrating a special location in your lives like the Arizona desert for Jenn & Adam, but also amazing for engagements and anniversaries! 

I’ve seen a lot of amazing Arizona sunsets over the years, but this one was most definitely something extra special!
