JORDAN & NOAH’S ADVENTUROUS HIKING ELOPEMENT IN MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK WASHINGTON | MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER | MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK, WASHINGTON

Have you ever seen something so enormous it fills you with awe? Mount Rainier is definitely one of those places for me. This massive, lonely mountain is SO much taller than its surroundings that it often creates its own weather patterns. Accessing the higher portions of the national park can be challenging much of the year due to snow. But when the snowpack recedes in late summer another surprise awaits visitors – meadows of wildflowers! The area was appropriately named “Paradise” a long time ago. With wildflowers and close up views of the peak, it was the perfect place for Jordan and Noah’s Mount Rainier hiking elopement!

As we hiked up the Skyline Trail we saw marmots just lounging about in the wildflower meadows. It was a perfectly balmy summer afternoon in Paradise. We checked the snow/trail report at the visitor center before heading out, but decided to change their ceremony location on the fly so we didn’t have to walk through some icy bits on the trail. Safety first! It changed the overall timeline of their day, but we were having so much fun it didn’t really matter. That’s the nice thing about elopements – getting to change the timeline and not worry or feel bad about it!

These two had so much fun talking to everyone on the trail, dancing in the dazzling golden hour light, laughing at each other’s jokes, and sweetly loving on each other. They even brought a couple of local beers to celebrate! Then as the sky blazed with sunset color and the peak with alpine glow, these two found the perfect location and shared their vows. It was such a surreal and beautiful moment. Mount Rainier truly put on a show for these two. It was a perfect day filled with so much fun!
