The early morning light brought a warm glow across the valley, while a gentle mist rolled through Yosemite Valley, making everything look even more ethereal. With crisp morning air and the stunning view of El Capitan and Bridalveil Fall in the background, Tunnel View at sunrise didn’t disappoint. And the best part? They brought along their pup! Just a heads up: dogs are welcome in Yosemite but need to stay on paved trails, so Tunnel View was the perfect place for a little family adventure.

Springtime in Yosemite is magical, with the snowmelt feeding the falls to make them really roar. Yosemite Falls were particularly powerful, giving Ellen and Daniel’s photos a dramatic and wild backdrop. What’s the Best Time and Place for an After Wedding Photoshoot?

For Ellen and Daniel’s after session in 2022, we did need a permit for their photos. As of 2024 you only need permits if you are planning a wedding ceremony, elopement or shooting in areas not open to the public, or before or after normal visitation hours. Always make sure to check as permitting regulations can change!
