SARIAH + PARKER’S YOSEMITE VALLEY ADVENTURE SESSION | YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER | YOSEMITE, CALIFORNIA
The first thing to know about Sariah and Parker is they’re literally the most fun! These part time van-lifers drove their awesome rig (@that.yellow.van) to the base of El Capitan like BOSSES. There we all had the funnest afternoon playing on the banks of the Merced River at Cathedral Beach.
Cathedral Beach is this magnificent area in the Yosemite Valley where El Capitan literally towers overhead. Like human-made cathedrals of old, this aptly named area of Yosemite has a similar, but way greater, awe-inspiring feeling. From playing hard in this giant riverbed to dancing on the top of their van, these two didn’t even miss a beat and just started worshiping when the songs of thankfulness came on shuffle. PS – Having music playing during you session (considerately, of course!) can create such a lovely mood.
We were all just overjoyed and full of gratitude for so many reasons. 2020 was so hard for everyone. And there in the midst of this hard season, we were all there in the majesty of El Cap. Additionally, there was no wild fire smoke in the valley. And everyone’s COVID test had come back negative. The cherry on top was seeing these guys rejoicing in such a small thing as their Yosemite Valley adventure session. Sariah and Parker reminded me that God is most definitely in the details (the big picture too of course!). What a wonderful reminder to choose gratitude and joy in this rough time; thanks you guys.
Plus I got to learn a bit more about essential oils from Sariah and see how she used them as part of their lifestyle, even during their shoot! I’m a curious oil newbie so soaking up knowledge on how people use them is fun. Anyways, until next time new friends! Come back and visit California soon (once COVID dies back down a bit)!

OKAY. I’m obsessed with these images!!! Yosemite is so beautiful!! I visited last year while it was covered in snow and need to go back in the fall sometime! The photos on top of this couple’s van though are my absolute favourite!!!
